What’s been the best opportunity for you at CU?
Joining a fraternity has been the best opportunity for me at CU. It provided me with a great community that shares common interests, such as playing soccer, enjoying the outdoors through group hikes and snowboard trips, and, overall, getting to know each other for future networking opportunities and hangouts.
How has the BBC scholarship helped you?
The BBC scholarship has helped me greatly. As someone who comes from a low-income family with only my mother as the backbone of my financial support, the BBC scholarship has helped me take that anxiety off my shoulders by providing the tuition money I need to pursue my undergraduate education here at CU Boulder. I will be forever grateful for this opportunity and will continue to strive for greatness as I continue my undergraduate education in order to prove that there are no educational limits regardless of my socioeconomic status, country of origin, or race. The BBC scholarship has also helped me in making connections, I met great people who are very alike me in this program, and whom I wish to be connected throughout my college career.
What are your future plans?
My future plans are graduating with a bachelor's in political science and hopefully, with a minor in French. I plan to attend the University of Colorado Law School and study immigration law. After that, I plan to work as both a business and a family immigration attorney.
