New York University is conducting searches for Environmental Engineering faculty members at two of our campuses - Brooklyn, NY and Abu Dhabi, UAE. The New York search is open rank and the Abu Dhabi search is for an assistant (or potentially associate) professor.

1. Tenured/Tenure-Track Environmental Engineering Professor (Open Rank), Department of Civil and Urban Engineering, New York University

The Department of Civil and Urban Engineering (CUE) at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire in all areas of Environmental Engineering, with particular emphasis on environmental analytical chemistry, innovative water and wastewater treatment processes, resource recovery from wastewater or other waste streams, fate of chemical contaminants in natural and engineered systems, water reuse, or related fields. Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in Environmental Engineering, or a closely related discipline. We seek individuals who have, or have the potential to develop, a strong record of scholarship, leadership, and curricular innovation, and an excellent funding record. Candidates should also demonstrate excellence in teaching and mentoring.

2. Tenure-Track Environmental Engineering Professor, Civil Engineering Program, NYU Abu Dhabi

New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to recruit tenure-track faculty in the Civil Engineering (CE) program who are distinguished in both their research and teaching. As part of a major multi-year growth plan, the following Environmental Engineering areas are of particular interest at the present time:  (1) Advanced Water Treatment, (2) Water Re-use, (3) Desalination, (4) Wastewater Treatment. Candidates with a strong record of interdisciplinary research in emerging areas are preferred. Candidates must have a PhD degree in civil or environmental engineering or a related discipline and must have the ability to develop and lead high-quality research and attract external funding. It is expected that the successful candidate will have access to doctoral programs and colleagues at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, and the facilities available in the NYUAD Water Research Center.
