#1 NSF has announced their Research Internships for Grad Students (INTERN) Supplemental Funding Opportunity, which provides supplemental funding for NSF-supported grad students to work at a National Lab for 6 months. Proposals are due by May 1, 2019.
#2 The DOE Office of Science Graduate Student Research Program funds PhD students to perform collaborative research at a National Lab, providing support for 3-12 months. I’ve attached a few slides that provide an overview of this opportunity, which has been a good vehicle in the past to develop new collaborations, address questions or testing new approaches across multiple sites, etc. More information...
