HRS Water Consultants, Inc. is currently accepting resumes for a full-time temporary (90 to 120 days) Water Resources Intern for our Lakewood, CO office. HRS is a leader in water resources engineering, hydrogeology, environmental contamination and remediation, water rights, numerical modeling, water well design & testing, and related consulting services in Colorado and the Intermountain West.
The selected intern will be part of our consulting activities, working with HRS project managers and staff. Assignments may include working with HRS staff on hydrogeologic investigations; data research, entry, & analysis; GIS map & database development; field data collection, water level measurements / sampling; and operation of hydrologic instrumentation among other things. Interns can expect to work on a variety of tasks that may include field work, literature searches, aiding in preparation of text and graphics for technical reports and presentations, and general office support.
HRS internships emphasize technical, communication, organizational, and people skills. Successful interns will be motivated, reliable, punctual, and work with accuracy and attention to detail within assigned time deadlines. HRS internships are designed to help individuals transition from academic to professional life. Our goal is to provide a variety of experiences in a professional setting, so that at the conclusion of the internship the individual is better prepared for success in a full-time, professional position.
The ideal intern candidate will have classroom, lab, and/or field experience in Water Resources, Geology, or Hydrology. Familiarity with standard software including Microsoft Office™ is necessary. Experience with ArcMap™ or other GIS software is a plus.
