1. Fernando Rosario-Ortiz was selected for the inaugural AEESP Emerging Investigator lecture at the American Water Works Association Water Quality and Technology Conference in Portland. Prof. Rosario talk, titled "Assessing the Impact of Wildfires on Water Quality and Treatment Efficacy" covered his recent research with a number of students and funding agencies and was attended by over 100 people. The lecture was sponsored by Corona Environmental Consultants.
2. FRO published a new paper on the quantification of dissolved organic nitrogen in water. The publication, co-authored by Yun Yu, James Saunders and James McCutchan, was published in Enironmental Science and Technology Letters. (http://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/acs.estlett.7b00416).
