Shell Ideas360Shell Ideas360 is a global competition for students to solve a problem related to food, energy, or water. Kale Salad, the team representing CU Boulder, is composed of members Katie McQuie, Marc Thomson, and Chris Quinn with faculty mentor Chris Corwin. Their idea, Tidal Electricity Generator (T.E.G.), is a hydroelectric system that generates electricity by taking advantage of the differential head created by the tides. Kale Salad is one of the 74 of 982 submissions that made it to Stage 2.
