EPA's Denver Region 8 office is offering a number of opportunities in 2016 for students to gain valuable professional experience through its student volunteer program. The specific project opportunities available at http://www.epa.gov/co/epa-region-8-internships-2016.

  • Eligibility Requirements: Participants must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a degree, certificate, or diploma seeking student taking at least a half-time course load in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university, graduate, or professional school.
  • Application Requirements: To apply for any of these positions supply the following by March 18, 2016: transcripts, resume and a cover letter (indicating the position or positions you are interested in, your available start date and approximate hours/weeks you could work) to R8EPAintern@epa.gov with the subject line: Student Volunteer Internship Program.
  • Student Volunteer Intern Fair: The EPA regional office is hosting two intern fairs at 1595 Wynkoop Street on March 9 from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. and March 10 from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. with an opportunity to meet with volunteer internship project sponsors, participate in a mock interview process with EPA representatives, and obtain information on applying for permanent employment with the EPA. For those attending the fair, bring an official government issued ID and allow additional time for an airport type security screening.

Students are not required to attend the fair to apply.
