Every three years the Environmental Editors put together a Virtual Issue of Hot Topic Papers from three journals: Analytical Chemistry, Environmental Science & Technology, and Environmental Science & Technology Letters. A total of 20 papers are selected from over 3000 papers published during this time. Ferrer and Thurman netted 3 papers of the 20 on CECs including: Artificial Sweetners, Hydraulic Fracturing, and Per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
