Title: Application of Test Protocol for Whole-room Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI) Surface Decontamination of Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Klebsiella species and Clostridium difficile.

Purpose of Project: To determine in a controlled laboratory setting, the degree to which mobile whole-room ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) surface contamination devices reduce the bioburden of significant pathogens  on high-touch surfaces that are responsible for hospital-acquired infections. To use the laboratory results to plan a demonstration in use in a clinical setting.

This new research project will start July 15th, 2015.
