Join faculty, staff and students in celebrating national Graduate Student Appreciation Week, which recognizes graduate students’ many contributions to the university’s community and academic excellence. Tuesday, April 4. Noon, virtual
Robyn Sandekian, director of faculty advancement, will be facilitating this training on behalf of the American Society for Engineering Education. This workshop will describe the concepts and implications of privilege and bias, discuss the climate for LGBTQ+ individuals in STEM and ways that allies can support LGBTQ+ students and colleagues, and explore techniques for creating inclusive classroom environments. Advance registration is required.

Wednesday, April 12. 12:15-1:15 p.m., ECCS 201
This session will provide a chance to hear from and have conversations with leading experts on the technical areas underlying ChatGPT and other generative AI, the uses of generative AI in university and K-12 education, and the ethical and societal issues associated with generative AI tools. It will feature brief presentations by and ample time for audience questions with a distinguished panel.

The Catalyze CU a summer startup accelerator program is designed for CU Boulder ventures created by students, faculty and staff. It combines world-class mentorship, funding and a dedicated co-working space to help the most promising ventures from across campus succeed – without taking any equity.

Thursday, April 20. 4-5 p.m., Chancellor’s Hall and Auditorium, CASE Building
Shelly Miller of Rady Mechanical Engineering and the Environmental Engineering Program will deliver her lecture, “Life Lessons on the Path to Improving Urban Air Quality & Public Health,” on April 20. The event is open to the entire campus community, and advanced registration is requested.
