Joy Knutsen

I joined the CU Boulder Engineering Computer Science team in June 2020 after having begun employment in the Arts & Sciences Physical Sciences Dept. September 2019.  I provide academic advising support for our students pursuing the Computer Science Bachelor of Arts degree.

Having worked in higher education for over two decades, I have a variety of experience including: STEM education, tutoring, teaching, admissions, academic advising, and financial aid.  As an alumni of East Tennessee State University, I earned a BS in Mathematics and enjoy sharing my love of mathematics to anyone who will listen.  I have worked at various 2-year and 4-year colleges in Virginia and Tennessee and have a strong commitment to helping first-generation/low income students.  I love hiking, walking, shopping, interior decorating, and spending time with family, friends, and pets.
