I joined the Student Support and Advising Services team in April 2020 as an Undergraduate Academic Advisor and couldn’t be more grateful to work with such a wonderful group of students in the College of Engineering and Applied Science. I have a Bachelor’s of Arts in History from Roanoke College and a Masters’ of Library and Information Studies from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Some of my hobbies and interests include cooking, baking, traveling, outdoor activities, reading, and going to the movies.

Teaching and Advising Philosophy: "As an educator and academic advisor, my personal and professional priorities include making meaningful connections and fostering appreciative relationships with students built on trust and mutual understanding of expectations and support. Through an intersectional student development pedagogy, it is my goal to engage students in an equitable and empowering academic experience. I aspire to support students holistically through a critical theory-centered practice, be an active listener and social justice advocate, and make space for ongoing reflection, assessment, and learning."
