Kristen Egan has held many leadership and management positions in various industries over the last 17 years. She has been with RTX Corporation, formerly Raytheon, for the last 5 years working predominately as a Systems Engineer and Scrum Master. Her experience includes software test and validation, integration, requirements management, team process improvement, and project management (traditional and agile).

Kristen joined the EMP faculty 4 years ago as a part-time lecturer for Introduction to Engineering Management. She is dedicated to highlighting the breadth and depth of the Engineering Management discipline and guiding undergraduate students in developing skills necessary to be successful engineers throughout their careers with a focus on communication, collaboration, and servant leadership. She has been an active American Society for Engineering Management (ASEM) member for the last 7 years.

Outside of engineering and teaching Kristen enjoys gardening, visiting National Parks, and spending time with family. Her passions are existentialism and equity with an emphasis in education, helping others achieve their goals, women’s football, and space.

Kristen holds a ME in Engineering Management from CU Boulder, an AS in Engineering Science from SUNY MCC, and a BFA in Production/Design for Theatre from SUNY Fredonia.
