Students must be registered with Disability Services in order to utilize the Student Testing Center. Additional requests may require permission from university staff, professors or departments.

The Student Testing Center is available for:

  • Exams
  • Quizzes
  • Tests

While the Student Testing Center is open to proctor any student with testing accommodations registered with disability services, we are unable to proctor the following exam formats:

  • Standardized testing, such as the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), the American College Testing (ACT) exam, Graduate Record Examination (GRE), or other similar exams.
  • Pass/fail university credit or exemption exams, such as the Foreign Language Achievement Testing Service (FLATs) or the College Level Examination Program (CLEP).
  • Visiting scholar examinations
  • Non-CU Boulder proctor-based examinations
  • Placement exams

Specific accommodations

Students with 1.5X extended time or distraction-reduced environment accommodations typically receive testing accommodations from their instructors, as per the students' accommodation letter. Contact your professor during office hours or make an appointment to discuss testing accommodations and how your professor will provide them.

If you have more involved accommodations, such as double extended time or the use of a reader, scribe or assistive technology, you will need your professor to fill out the student testing center form

For additional support, contact the Student Testing Center at testing@colorado.edu or your Access Coordinator.
