The Student Organization Allocations Committee (SOAC) is a CUSG funding board that distributes student fee dollars to student organizations in order to help promote enrichment, education and inclusiveness of the CU Boulder community. SOAC makes decisions from a neutral viewpoint by understanding that everyone needs that place to feel included.

SOAC funding timeline for Fall 2023 - End of Spring 2024 Semester

November 1

Last day for RSOs to submit event/travel/operational requests on Buffconnect for Fall 2023 to be heard by December 6th. 

Note: If you plan to have an event or travel between December 1, 2023 - February 17, 2024 you must submit by November 1st due to SOAC's 30-day requirement for these funding types as well as Winter Break.

November 20 -24

Fall Break (SOAC will not be meeting)

December 6

Last SOAC Hearing for the Fall 2023 Semester

Spring 2024:

January 17

First SOAC Hearing of the Spring 2024 Semester

February 28

Last day for RSOs to submit event/travel/operation requests for Spring 2024 to be heard by April 3.

March 25 – March 29

Spring Break (SOAC will not be meeting)

April 3

Last SOAC hearing and last day to ask for reallocations.

April 25

Last day for SOAC funds to be spent for the 2023-2024 Academic Year.

Note: Once your approved funds are reflected on your Buffconnect portal you must have a pre-spending meeting with CSI Finance to discuss how you want to spend your approved funds by the April 25th deadline.
