Student groups
The Gender & Sexuality Alliance (GSA) at CU envisions a world where all students are accepted and respected regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. No matter how you identify: gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual or allied, the Gender & Sexuality Alliance welcomes you. GSA hosts events throughout the year, including the annual Drag Show, queer sex education and Queer Formal.
Out in STEM (oSTEM) provides networking opportunities, professional development, social events and a safe space for the LGBTQ+ STEM students at CU Boulder. General meetings occur weekly and consist of a mix of community, social, academic and professional development events. oSTEM meetings are open to all members of the CU Boulder community.

Bring Your Own Gender (BYOG) is a social group for students who identify as trans, nonbinary, gender creative or questioning their gender identity.

Local organizations
Working independently and in collaboration, Rocky Mountain Equality facilitates connection, advocacy, education, research and programs to ensure LGBTQ+ people and communities thrive in Boulder County and beyond. They offer health and wellness programs, gender support groups, queer creative programs, financial assistance and more!
The Center on Colfax is Denver’s LGBTQ+ community center, giving voice to Colorado’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community and playing a pivotal role in statewide initiatives to reduce harassment and discrimination. The Center on Colfax provides a host of free services, targeted programs and cultural events, including: the Colorado LGBTQ History Project, mental health services, a support group for LGBTQ+ young adults (18-24), transgender programming, job fairs and trainings, an LGBTQ+ library and a resource directory, along with much more!
One Colorado is the state’s leading advocacy organization dedicated to advancing equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) Coloradans and their families. They offer a number of resources including an election wellness guide, information on LGBTQIA+ protections in Colorado and much more!
Transgender Center of the Rockies offers holistic gender-affirming services to support transgender, non-binary and gender-expansive individuals in Colorado. They provide social-emotional support and substance use treatment for the Colorado transgender community through clinical groups, individual counseling, peer-led support groups, PrEP case management and community events. This includes a free gender-affirming closet, resource directory and HIV and STI testing.
Queer Asterisk empowers and nurtures the diverse ways of being that queer people embody by providing accessible counseling, education and community programs that uplift queer, trans and gender expansive lives. This includes therapy and community groups.
YouthSeen is dedicated to supporting QTBIPoC communities through mental health and wellness services, Black Pride Colorado, a directory of Colorado mental health providers of color and other resources and events including a monthly newsletter.
