Due to licensing regulations, students who are out of state can not be seen for therapy. However, there are a number of pre-clinical services at CAPS that students who are out of state can still utilize and access.
e-Let’s Talk is a free service where CU Boulder students can check in virtually for an informal and confidential consultation with a CAPS provider. Let’s Talk providers can help provide insight, solutions and information about additional resources. Students commonly visit with concerns about stress, sadness, worry, relationships, academic performance, family problems and financial struggles. This service is available to in- and out-of-state students.
Students residing outside of Colorado can work with a CAPS provider to get connected with mental health services in your area. Schedule a mental health management appointment by calling 303-492-2277 or explore counseling options online through Thriving Campus.
CAPS provides virtual workshops for out-of-state students. Workshops support and enable students to cope with stress, anxiety and uncertainty. Workshops are also available for students to learn how to build healthy habits, live by their values, practice mindfulness and navigate difficult conversations. Workshops include:
Feel Better Fast
