Visitors at CU Boulder can expect comfortable accommodations, variety and quality in our dining and catering options and an almost endless supply of activities and events to enjoy. Our goal is to provide you with an exceptional conference experience.
Boulder is 5,430 feet in elevation and has a sunny, semi-arid climate. Average temperatures in the summer can range anywhere from the high 50s in the evenings to the mid-90s during the day. Hydrating during your stay is very important, as altitude sickness (headache, nausea, shortness of breath, dizziness and fatigue) can occur. Weather conditions can change rapidly throughout each day and from day-to-day.
Our chefs provide award-winning cuisine, offering everything from regional comfort food to international selections, while our catering teams focus on specific meal events, from simple refreshments to full-service banquet-style meals.
With breathtaking views of the Flatirons, we offer comfortable accommodations during your on-campus stay. From apartment-style private rooms to collegiate-style residence halls, our wide array of lodging options ensures we can design a package to fit the needs of your guests.
Getting to know Boulder and the CU campus is one of the perks of attending a conference here, and there are numerous activities conveniently located near our residence halls and meeting spaces. From movies and plays to bowling and hiking, there is something to suit almost anyone.
CU Boulder is consistently voted one of the greenest in the U.S., and incorporating sustainability practices into our day-to-day operations is one of our core values at CUCS. We serve as an expert in sustainability to peer institutions, clients and guests through our key practices such as waste diversion, efficient management of resources and working with local sustainable companies.
Boulder is a great town for public transportation. Both regional and local bus lines run by all parts of campus. Route information can be found on the City of Boulder website.
Reusable Water Bottle
Triple-filtered water refill stations are located in all residence halls and most campus buildings, making it easy to carry and refill your own water bottle.
Recycle When Possible
Recycling bins are located practically everywhere on campus and in Boulder. Just look for the familiar signs!
