Sustainability Tips for Guests
CU Boulder is consistently voted one of the greenest in the U.S., and incorporating sustainability practices into our day-to-day operations is one of our core values at CUCS. We serve as an expert in sustainability to peer institutions, clients and guests through our key practices such as waste diversion, efficient management of resources and working with local sustainable companies. For more information about sustainability view our Sustainable Conferences page.
Public Transportation
Boulder is a great town for public transportation. Both regional and local bus lines run by all parts of campus. Route information can be found on the City of Boulder website.
Reusable Water Bottle
Triple-filtered water refill stations are located in all residence halls and most campus buildings, making it easy to carry and refill your own water bottle.
Recycle & Compost
Recycling bins are located throughout campus and Boulder. Compost bins can be located in many campus buildings. Just look for the familiar signs!
Take Less, Waste Less
Food choices are an important part of the greater sustainability picture. Be thoughtful with your portions—we welcome you to go back for more.
Carbon Offsets
The purchase of Carbon Offsets reduces emissions created by air or auto travel to CU Boulder. These carbon emission reduction projects would not be possible without the financial resources that purchasing provides. thegoodtraveler.org
