Dates and Deadlines

Please note: Admissions are handled on a rolling basis. For your individual status, feel free to contact the director. For summer, some select slots will be kept open until the final deadline, but early applications will be considered and are encouraged. We encourage you to apply as soon as you know you'd like to be considered for Summer term. We often get more applications than we have slots available for Summer term, thus, early applications are encouraged. For Fall and Spring terms, we can usually notify applicants closer to their application submission.

Regardless of which semester you spend in D.C., you must also meet the Washington Media Institute's housing deadlines. 

Withdrawal notifications

Notice of withdrawal from CMDI in D.C. must be submitted in writing by email to the CMDI faculty director. Failure to notify the faculty director at this email address may result in denial of the withdrawal request. The date of withdrawal is the regular business day during which the written withdrawal statement is received by the faculty director. Please consult the dates and deadlines related to withdrawal requests.

Deposit 

A non-refundable deposit of $700 will be required after an acceptance to enable credit enrollment and to begin the internship placement process.
