CMCI Now magazine: Pomp and circumstance

It was with great excitement that we sent our largest class of graduates—more than 900 students—out into the world at graduation last month. What our Class of 2025 has accomplished already is a source of amazement to me. Their high school graduations were virtual or socially distanced affairs, and they came to Boulder not knowing if the traditional college experience they had prepared for would ever be the same.
Now, they go off into a world of great uncertainty—but they do so equipped with a set of skills and perspectives that will help them chart their own paths and bring positive change to the world.
I’m confident that the people they met and experiences they developed at CMCI will help them navigate the unknown and be successful in their career journeys. And as we prepare to rebrand ourselves as the College of Communication, Media, Design and Information, I expect us to continue to find ways to challenge, inspire and support future classes of graduates—and know we can count on support from alumni like yourself in helping us get there.
I hope you enjoy this celebration of our graduates. Keep an eye on your mailbox for the fall, when the “first” issue of CMDI Now arrives at your home! Until then, wishing you a great summer.
