Working with the Communications and Engagement team

The communications and engagement team collaborates with units across the college to support strategic communication needs. We set the tone, voice and vision for the college, ensuring the unique strengths of our departments are reflected in CMDI’s overall value to our students, alumni, friends, partners and community members.

Through our partnerships, we create content that informs, influences and inspires while creating positive impact.

How to engage with us

A few key things to keep in mind when working with the communications team:

Timing
Four to six weeks’ notice is requested for most projects. (For events, which are more complex, four months’ notice is requested.)

We understand that last-second opportunities may arise; we will attempt to support late requests but priority will be given to projects already in the queue.

Detail
Please provide as much detail as possible when filling out the project request form.

This ensures more efficient kickoff meetings and allows us to more quickly meet the project deadline.

Budget
Be prepared to discuss budget needs and speedtype(s) when kicking off the project.

Depending on the project, costs may include printing, mailing/distribution, shipping, and so on.
