Equipment Rental Desk
The Department of Cinema Studies and Moving Image Arts equipment check-out facility, a.k.a. The Kage provides film students with the tools, supplies and services needed to produce film, video, animation and other creative works.
Booking an Appointment
All Equipment Check In/Out must be scheduled a minimum of 12 hours in advance via the online schedule system. No walk-in appointments will be available.

Reserving a computer in Cinema Studies Computer Labs:
Spaces are available during various hours in the following rooms in ATLAS:
310, 311: These can be reserved for 3-hour blocks of time, twice daily.
345: These are walk in only labs and are available on a first come first serve basis. We ask that you limit your time at a computer station to 3 hour blocks of time to allow for the sharing of resources.
General Policies
Cinema Studies facilities and equipment is available only to students currently enrolled in production courses within the department. Equipment availability is subject to production students course level. Non Cinema Studies students, graduates and non-production Cinema Studies students are not allowed to rent Cinema Studies equipment or facilities.
All payments must be in cash, or by credit card ($100 minimum added to your Kage account).
No checks accepted. Rental fees and other charges must be paid when you pick up equipment or purchase supplies. Late fees are assessed for items not returned on time.
