Anthropology

Page McClean is a PhD candidate in Cultural Anthropology.  Her dissertation, “Conectividades: Histories and Futures of Connection at the End of Chile’s Southern Highway,” explores the discourses, practices, and experiences of national infrastructural projects and alternative connections in rural Patagonia.  The dissertation interweaves ethnography, historical documents, media, and literary analysis to develop a text that is both interdisciplinary and at home within anthropology.  Page has published in both English and Spanish on aspects of her ethnographic research and on Chilean documentary film.  She has also exhibited ethnographic video and sound installations related to her fieldwork.  During her time at the University of Colorado, Page has pursued a graduate certificate in Interdisciplinary Documentary Media Practices.  She received her MA in Visual Anthropology from Goldsmiths, University of London.
