Jessica Bertram

Jessica Bertram (she/her) is a movement artist driven by storytelling, research, and ultimately, play.  A native of Huntsville, Alabama, she began dancing at the age of 3 at the North Alabama Dance Center. She continued her training at Emory University and graduated in 2017 with a BA in Dance & Movement Studies and a BS in Anthropology & Human Biology. Her choreographic and solo work has been performed and awarded at the American College Dance Association, Emory University, 7Stages Theatre, Idea Capital, Hambidge Art Lab, Dance Canvas, The Movement Lab~ Home of T. Lang Dance,  Atlanta Dance Collective’s FEMMEfest, and the staibdance Summer Intensive in Sorrento, Italy. Dedicated to her passion for the arts, Jessica has worked with non-profit organizations, the National Black Arts Festival (NBAF) as their Assistant Director of the Move/Dance! Program and Moving in the Spirit, Inc. as a teaching artist specializing in creative youth development.
