Julie Young is a researcher, AI strategist, and lifelong nature enthusiast who works at the intersection of technology, psychology, and the environment. She holds an M.S. in Experimental Psychology with a focus on Human-Computer Interaction and has pursued advanced studies in artificial intelligence, data science, and AI product management.
Julie’s career has focused on making complex technologies more human-centered and accessible. Her work explores how we can design smarter tools while staying connected to the living world, a balance she continues to explore in both her professional projects and her garden.
She volunteers with Colorado State University Extension in a horticulture and education role and is passionate about community learning, creative problem solving, and connecting people across fields and backgrounds. Julie joined the Community Advisory Board to help spark conversations that bridge science, art, and everyday life.
