I have made these statements and you have read these statements, so I don’t want to simply write, yet again, about how I or the CHA condemns the white supremacist actions of the shooter in Buffalo, New York who targeted Black patrons of a supermarket and killed ten people. I will simply say that what I want is an end to white supremacy and anti-Black racism. I want our Black colleagues, neighbors, friends, and family to feel safe and protected. And I want all of us to be active bystanders who challenge white supremacy. If you would like to be an active bystander who fights white supremacy, I would encourage you to take a free Right To Be training and to spend some time reflecting on what actions you can take, small and large, to challenge anti-Black racism and end white supremacy.
