Four Questions for Faculty

Yumi RothWhat do you like most about being an arts/humanities faculty?
The nature of my work and teaching is interdisciplinary. As a faculty in the Arts, I believe that I'm encouraged to explore connections between areas of inquiry.

I'm working on several projects simultaneously, which is typical for faculty in the Arts. Over the last several years, I've been working with sign spinners throughout the US and conceptual art language in a project titled, "Spin (after Sol LeWitt)"

What work in your field most excites you?
I'm most excited by work that extends beyond the conventions of the field and includes interventions in public space.

Financial support to realize seemingly outlandish ideas.
