Biochemistry
Karl received a B.S. degree from North Carolina State University Raleigh and majored in Biochemistry. He is rostered in the Department of Biochemistry. Karl completed his first lab rotation in Dr. Karolin Luger's lab in the Department of Biochemistry. He completed his second lab rotation in Dr. Michael Shirts' lab in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. Karl completed his third lab rotation in Dr. John Rinn's lab in the Department of Biochemistry. For his fourth lab rotation, he worked with two other IQ Biology students and Dr. Kralj, Dr. Spencer and Dr. Palmer were their advisors. Karl joined the Copley lab in May 2019.
