Jacqueline Wentz
Student Alumni
Applied Mathematics

Jacqueline received a BS in 2010 from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and majored in Biological Engineering and Physics. She is rostered in the Department of Applied Mathematics and is advised by Dr. David Bortz. Her first rotation was with Dr. David Bortz (Applied Mathematics) and her second rotation was with Dr. Anushree Chatterjee (Chemical and Biological Engineering). Jacqueline's third rotation was with Dr. Brett Melbourne (Ecology and Evolutionary Biology) and Dr. Kendi Davies (Ecology and Evolutionary Biology). Jacqueline is interested in understanding why organisms that are genetically identical age at different rates. To explore this question she develops mathematical models of molecular and cellular level processes that are known to affect longevity in C. elegans. Jacqueline graduated in Summer 2020.
