Carolina Valderrama Hincapie

Carolina received a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Sustainability Studies from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. She is entering IQ Biology through the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. Carolina completed her first rotation with Alisha Quant in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. Her second rotation was completed with Vignesh Kasinath in the Department of Biochemistry. Carolina completed her third rotation with Edward Chuong in the Department of Molecular Cellular and Developmental Biology. For her team rotation, she worked with two other IQ students in Orit Peleg and Nolan Kane's labs in the departments of Computer Science and Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. Carolina joined the Kasinath and Chuong lab and the Department of Molecular Cellular and Developmental Biology in May 2025.
