Bailey received a B.S. in Bioengineering with a Minor in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She entered IQ Biology through the Biomedical Engineering and Electrical, Computer & Energy Engineering Program. Bailey completed her first rotation in Kayla Sprenger's lab in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. She completed her second lab rotation in Virginia Ferguson's lab in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Bailey completed her third lab rotation in Joel Kaar's lab in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. For her team rotation, Bailey is working with two other IQ students in Kayla Sprenger's (Chemical and Biological Engineering) and Mark Borden's (Mechanical Engineering) labs.
