William Taylor is an archaeozoologist and specialist in the study of animal domestication and human-animal relationships in the past. Drawing upon comparative data from active fieldwork in Eurasia and Australia, Dr. Taylor’s research explores the introduction of horses into the Americas, and the social and ecological impact of domestic horses and donkeys on the peoples and landscapes of the Great Plains and the American West.
