Rich Fedorchak

Rich Fedorchak has lived a charmed life. Working with the National Park Service for 34 years, he has been able to live and work in truly amazing places. Starting his career as a researcher at Glacier NP, Fedorchak has called Mount Rainier, Grand Teton, Zion and most recently Rocky Mountain National Parks home. He has worked in various capacities with the NPS including Interpretation, Law Enforcement, and Employee Development. For the past two years Fedorchak has served as the National Park Service’s Partnerships Coordinator developing a national training program to help bridge the cultures of the Federal Government and Nonprofit organizations.

Originally growing up in New England, Fedorchak went to Alaska and realized his life was in the West. After receiving his degree from the University of Idaho, Rich and his wife Sheri embarked on an NPS odyssey that would take them to nine states and for Rich, three countries. As part of the National Park Service’s Sister Parks program, Fedorchak has spent time working with the governments of Poland, Slovakia and the Republic of Georgia providing technical assistance to their National Parks and Preserves programs.

Fedorchak’s participation in the Executive Education Programs at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and Duke University’s Nonprofit Management Program has provided transformative experiences that remind him to stay curious, be open to new ideas and remain compassionate.
