Reed Robins in uniform

Reed Robins was born in Utah, and he joined the Navy in 2012 as an electrician’s mate. Robins spent two years in South Carolina in training and four years stationed out of Norfolk, VA on the USS Harry S. Truman working in the reactor plant where he ended his tour directing the ship’s electrical distribution and predictive maintenance programs. Robins separated from the Navy in 2018 and began school in Berkeley, CA but soon found himself longing for fewer people and more mountains which is how he ended up at CU Boulder. He plans on graduating this coming summer with a BA in Economics with an emphasis on public policy and he hopes to be accepted for matriculation at Colorado School of Mines this coming fall to study either Space Resources, Advanced Energy Systems, or Mineral and Energy Economics.
