Mary E. Mendoza

Mary E. Mendoza is an assistant professor of History and Latino/a Studies at Penn State University. She has published numerous academic journal articles, book chapters, and news articles about the history of the U.S.-Mexico border and is currently working on a book tentatively titled Unnatural Border: Race and Environment Across the U.S.-Mexico Divide. Her work has been funded by the National Science Foundation, the Smithsonian, the Ford Foundation, the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Huntington Library, the Clements Center for Southwest Studies, and the Woodrow Wilson Foundation.
