Nisa Jovel

Nisa Jovel was born in Silver Spring, MD after which she joined the Marine Corps in 2013.  Before going to her first MOS school she underwent Marine Infantry Training and became one of 122 female Marines to ever complete that training and earn the title as an 0311. From there Jovel went to school for aviation as an aviation operations specialist working on mission plans, flight plans, aircraft landings, and locations. Jovel was originally stationed in Camp Pendleton, CA and did two Unit Deployment Programs to Okinawa, Japan, Thailand, Philippines, and Korea, along with training exercises in 29 Palms, El Centro, and Yuma. Jovel separated from the Marines in 2017, moved to Colorado and began school at CU Boulder. She is double majoring in Integrative Physiology and Anthropology and will be graduating in Spring 2022.  She hopes to be accepted for the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at The University of Colorado Anschutz in Fall 2022 to study physical therapy, athletic training, human physiology, human anatomy, and biomechanics and to receive her Doctorate.
