The Center for Asian Studies is pleased to feature the following gradute program:

The Department of History at the University of Colorado Boulder is accepting applications for its Ph.D. program in Asian History. The Ph.D. program, which was inaugurated in 2011, encourages specializations in the histories of early modern or modern East Asia or South Asia, as well as in-depth consideration of global and thematic approaches to the histories of Asia as a region. This program complements the department’s other graduate offerings in Asian History: the M.A. in Asian History, and Dual M.A. programs with the Departments of Asian Languages and Civilizations and Religious Studies.

The graduate faculty in Asian History at the University of Colorado, Boulder are: Lucy Chester (Modern South Asia/British colonialism), Sanjay Gautam (Medieval/early modern India), Kwangmin Kim (Late Imperial China), Miriam Kingsberg (Modern Japan), Sungyun Lim (Modern Korea and Japan), Mithi Mukherjee (Modern India/British Empire in India), William Wei (Modern China/Asian American), Timothy B. Weston (Modern China), Marcia Yonemoto (Early Modern Japan).
