Shambhala and Snow Lion Publications, Editorial Editor, Tibetan Buddhist Books

Shambhala Publications and its Snow Lion imprint seek an energetic, experienced editor with strong knowledge, interest, and expertise in the area of Indo-Tibetan Buddhist traditions.  We have many great book projects forthcoming and are delighted to be expanding our team.  Some level of familiarity with Tibetan language is important, and some Sanskrit is a plus but not required.

This position will be primarily focused on Indo-Tibetan Buddhism books, but projects may include other types of content across the Shambhala list.  Projects include translations, scholarly works, and broad audience trade books.

Typing Assistant
The Center for Asian Studies is passing along a request from David Raddock as he seeks an assistant to do some typing and proofreading. Please see below for information and contact Dr. Raddock directly if you are interested in applying.

As a member of the Boulder community and and a former academic at Columbia University's East Asian Institute,  I am looking for help in word process typing for publication.  As a China specialist, I need someone who will retype a resume, cover letters and highly literate notes for a book that I am reworking on a political psychology of Chinan China.

I seek a student, either graduate or undergrad, who will retype some material of mine and perhaps do some very light proofing.  Also, I would turn to this assistant for help with my own deficiencies in word processing using Apple Mac. If the candidate for this part-time work has an interest in China and Asia or has done a lot of papers, so much the better!  Payment is negotiable but would be would likely be set around $15/hr.
