Jian Wei Tay

Dr. Jian Wei Tay is the Image Analysis Specialist at the BioFrontiers Advanced Light Microscopy core. In this position, he collaborates with researchers to develop imaging and computational tools to analyze complex cellular imaging datasets. He also carries out research to advance biological imaging using machine learning and computer vision. Dr. Tay received his BSc (Hons I) and his PhD in Physics from the University of Otago in New Zealand and has over 11 years of biological imaging experience. He joined the BioFrontiers Institute in August 2016.
