Erin Richards
- Postdoctoral Associate, Advanced Light Microscopy Core
- ADVANCED LIGHT MICROSCOPY CORE
Dr. Erin Richards comes to the Advanced Light Microscopy Core from Dr. Amy Palmer's lab in Biochemistry here at CU Boulder. She spent her Ph.D. and brief postdoc in the Palmer Lab developing and characterizing fluorescent molecular tools in human cells. Now, she's bringing her expertise in microscopy, image analysis, biological sample preparation, and troubleshooting to her new position. She's already loving her new role because it combines her love for beautiful images, experimental design, and helping people! If you'd like to be trained on a microscope, need help with microscopy or image analysis, or want to chat about experiments that are causing you headaches, send Erin an email or find her in the 3rd Floor C Wing!
When she's not hanging out in the Core Facility, Erin likes snowboarding, playing board games, reading books, having tea/coffee or beers with friends, and making and eating good food. Erin is a self-proclaimed super extrovert who loves meeting new people, so, please, reach out even if it's not about science!
