Engaging Recovery Allison Casey Exercise and athletic activities allow us to become stronger, bigger, and more efficient. When we feel the fatigue from these exercises it acts as a signal for our bodies to improve, however, it is easy to disrupt this process with too much exercise or a lack of rest and recovery. Overtraining can undo all the hard work you put in and leave you feeling tired and irritable and even cause weight gain.Unfortunately many athletes are unaware of what they should be doing to adequately recover. Recovery needs to be taken as seriously as workouts themselves because it allows the body to repair and strengthen.
