Reagan Tucker was born in 2001 in Denver, Colorado. She is a Bachelor of Fine Arts candidate in printmaking at the University of Colorado Boulder in addition to studying French and art history. Her practice consists of printmaking methods in which she draws upon her lived experience.

My body of work is an exploration of the dynamics between psychological self and my physical being. I perceive myself as a conscious being existing within a fleshy vessel exploring the sentiments of that experience; striving to evoke malaise as a means to unearth buried emotions. Through introspection, I am investigating the transmutation of the mind as it is expressed through the external self. I employ abstracted forms in my work which are intended to reimagine the body’s physical reality and its relationship to my conscious and unconscious self.

Internal dialogues are articulated and their narratives are emphasized through repetitive lines and fluid forms. As the rhythm accumulates, visual phrases are conceived in which the lines answer one another only to divulge into new conversations as they sprawl across the page. Objective and subjective realities come together to see beyond the discomfort, harmonizing my mind and body.
