- PAINTING & DRAWING

Eileen Hinckle (she/they) has spent the past eleven years working as a muralist. Her practice incorporates activism, community-based projects, arts education, collaborations and commissioned work. She began painting murals during the six years she spent living in South America–mainly in Peru and Chile. The philosophies of collectivism and animism are at the core of her practice.. Growing up in Oregon, the conifers, oaks and maples were constant companions. Her art aims to address the intricate and intimate layers of connection between humans and trees, and her experiences of healing and transcendence in the forest.
