Art & Art History students may submit up to three (3) individual artworks in any media they wish

An example of artwork submissions might be: 2 images and 1 video OR 3 sound works OR 1 image, 1 video and 1 sound work, etc.

Image Formatting

Application image files must be high-quality images in JPG, PNG, or GIF format. There is a 5MB size limit per image. Please ensure your images are correctly oriented.

If you need assistance formatting your images for the King application, we can help! Please visit the Visual Resources Center on the 3rd floor of the Visual Arts Complex.

Video, Film & Sound Work Submissions

All durational artwork should be edited into a five-minute sequence. 

Artists with long-format works may provide a link to the complete piece. Jurors are required to view only the five-minute segment; however, they will have the option to access the full work via the provided link.

You will be asked to provide a link (Vimeo, YouTube, Soundcloud, etc.) to view/listen to your submitted work, we cannot accept video/audio files.

  Please be advised that the application cannot be saved as a draft. Ensure you are prepared to complete it, as you will not be able to edit the application once it has been submitted.

  After you click the "submit" button, you will receive a confirmation email indicating that your application was successfully submitted. If you do not receive this email, we have not received your submission, and you should try again.

Note that collaborative projects will only be awarded once and only to degree-seeking Art and Art History students. Awards for submissions including collaborative projects created by two or more Art and Art History students will be split among collaborators on a case-by-case basis.
