Aunna Moriarty
Interdisciplinary Media Arts Practices (IMAP)

Aunna Moriarty is a photographer, prop stylist, and model, with a focus on fashion and performance art. Influenced by feminine archetypes and mental health issues, Moriarty’s work is often reflective of her own personal narrative as an artist living with Bipolar and OCD. She uses costuming and set design to investigate the psyche and frequently performs in her own work.

Born and raised in Washington State, her practice is rooted in the Pacific Northwest, exhibiting in Seattle, Bellingham, and Portland. Exploring the relationship between the environment and mood, Moriarty often performs within West Coast landscapes, embracing the magic of the forest and sea. Moriarty is a graduate of the BFA in Photography program at Seattle University and is currently an MFA in Photography candidate at the University of Colorado Boulder.
