Soundscapes Curriculum

Welcome to the curriculum resources for Soundscapes of the People: A Musical Ethnography of Pueblo, Colorado! These resources create accessible pathways for K-12 educators to bring Pueblo music and history into their classrooms. Each set of teaching invitations is based on one interview from the Soundscapes of the People oral history collection. The teaching invitations expand on main themes within their respective interviews, providing educators with flexible lesson ideas and ready-made materials.
This project is the result of collaborations between AMRC-affiliated music researchers and Colorado K-12 educators. Educators received a stipend for their collaboration on this project. The AMRC is grateful to the National Endowment for the Humanities and the CU Boulder Office for Public and Community-Engaged Scholarship for their financial support of this project.
