Kosta has lead the digital accessibility office since 2018. He has worked at CU Boulder in OIT since 2012 first in web consulting and then digital accessibility. He has worked at universities for nearly 20 years in a variety of capacities (instructor, support staff and manager) and disciplines (lingustics, translation, rhetoric, intercultural communication, research methods and statistics, content management systems, and accessibility). He is a native of Russia with a MA from Texas State University (2002) and a PhD from the University of Oklahoma (2008).
Kosta mostly works remotely, spending a few weeks on campus every year. He lives in upstate New York (two time zones ahead) with his wife and two children. Outside of work, he is dedicated to photography, classical guitar, kayaking, and Scandinavian languages and culture.
