Challenge Ropes Course

Challenge Course
The CU Challenge Rope Course was proposed and funded by CU-Boulder students in 1998 with the belief that a cooperative learning environment, utilizing adventure techniques in a supportive atmosphere, would provide an optimal opportunity for students. In the fall of 2007, the CU Challenge Ropes Course was completed near Williams Village. Our ropes course consists of steel cables, ropes, and poles that are designed to present physical challenges from one foot to 42 feet off the ground. While the course may be difficult, the primary goal is to provide opportunities for learning about team building and leadership. Each group that uses the course may have different goals, such as individual and group responsibility, self-discovery, communication and collaboration, or problem solving. More >>
