Veteran and Military Affairs currently offers five scholarships to current students at CU Boulder. Information regarding the scholarships can be seen below. Please feel free to inquire with our office if you have any questions.

Veteran Scholarship

Veteran and Military Affairs awards 20 $1000 scholarships annually. To be eligible, students must be honorably discharged from the military, must have cumulative GPA of 2.75, be accepted as a full-time degree seeking student at CU, must have completed at least one full time semester at CU Boulder and must have a FAFSA on file with Financial Aid.

The application for 2019-2020 is available here. Applications are due July 5, 2019 and students will be notified if they have been chosen for the scholarship in August. 

Harvey Veteran Scholarship

Veteran and Military Affairs is excited to continue the OJ and Mary Christine Harvey Veteran Scholarship. This $5000 will be awarded to five students annually. To be eligible, students must be honorably discharged from the military, must have cumulative GPA of 2.75, be enrolled as an undergraduate student at CU, must have completed at least 12 semester hours at CU Boulder and must have a FAFSA on file with Financial Aid. McMahon USMC Scholarship

The Conor Padraic McMahon USMC Scholarship is a $3000 award that is given to 1-2 students annually.  One student will be awarded for 2019-2020. To be eligible, students must be on active duty or honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps, must have cumulative GPA of 3.0, be enrolled as an undergraduate student at CU, must have completed at least 12 semester hours at CU Boulder and must have a FAFSA on file with Financial Aid. This scholarship is renewable for up to three years if the awarded students maintain a 3.0 or greater GPA. A full list of requirements is available on the application form.

Exhausted Benefits Scholarship

Veteran and Military Affairs awards 5 $2000 scholarships annually to veteran students that do not have eligibility under any VA benefit program. To be eligible, students must have completed more than 75% of their degree, must have cumulative GPA of 2.75, and must meet with VMA staff.

Thuet Chapter 35 DEA Dependent Scholarship

Veteran and Military Affairs awards five $2000 scholarships annually to dependents using Chapter 35 DEA benefits. To be eligible, students must be using Chapter 35 benefits, must have cumulative GPA of 2.75, be accepted as a full-time degree seeking student at CU, must have completed at least one full time semester at CU-Boulder.
